Although Avatar Kyoshi did not have much screen time she had a very large presence on my soul and an even larger spot in my heart. I love Kyoshi and I don't really know why. I think younger just saw a strong female character and just became obssesed. Kyoshi you can do no wrong in my eyes!

 At first I didn't like Zuko. 8 year old me was just like "fuck is this guy annoying" but now upon rewatching and being a more matured and experienced adult I really like the guy. He's a skilled firebender who has deep family trauma and identity issues and over the course of the 3 seasons we see him come to terms and eventually overcome his plights. 

Again, 8 year old me was very confused and upset when 12 year old Aang decided not to kill Phoenix King Ozai. Like I thought that was the biggest fumble EVER. But upon rewatch (and being older) I understand he's just a kid. A kid whose had the hardest summer ever and has the weight of quite literally the entire world on his shoulders too.

Azula was a crazy, deranged, skilled psycho... and I ate up every second of it. I wasn't playing when I said I love strong women. I often times found myself wanting Azula to win whenevr she was pitted against the Gaang. 

Very skilled fighters and close to Kyoshi and Azula so that already gave them a leg up in the competition. I am still dying to see who would win in a full out fight between the 2.
